Visioning & Planning
Introduction
‘People don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan’. Whilst you may accept this statement as a truism, very few organisations have the ability to create plans that are truly owned by the staff and implemented fully.
How we help leaders and managers with visioning and planning
We work with management groups and intact teams through all aspects of visioning and planning covering such topics as:
- What is your organisation’s current reality? – Looking at all aspects of the organisation and the market
- Where do see your organisation in, say, 3 years? – Analysed over 5-7 key areas
- What are the barriers and sustainers likely to hold back your organisation
- What are the consequences of (a) doing nothing and (b) achieving your vision?
- What do we need from each other and what do we commit to do?
The above output then forms the basis of:
- Developing and embedding a set of organisational values and behaviours
- Key strategies to achieve the vision
- Major milestones, prioritising and phasing the work
- Completing a business implementation plan for each strategy
- Producing monthly financial projections
- Introducing a performance management system
Our credentials
Earlier in our careers we had line management responsibilities for visioning and planning in widely different business environments. We have successfully guided large and small organisations through the above process using proved accelerated learning, experiential learning and NLP techniques. It is the way we engage people in the above activities that helps ensure that the plans are owned and implemented.
